IT By Design (ITBD), a market leader for providing technical talent to IT service providers, has opted to host its annual MSP education event Aug. 30—Sept. 1, supporting the government’s call to take precautionary steps to “flatten the curve” and slow the spread of coronavirus, or COVID-19. The second annual event had been scheduled for May 17-19, in Jersey City, N.J.
“It came down to a concern for the health and well-being of our team and our partners. We also understand that a situation such as the coronavirus outbreak has a wide-ranging impact on businesses, particularly small MSPs, so we considered that this would help our partners concentrate on their businesses for now,” explained Sunny Kaila, CEO, IT By Design. “While our event was scheduled for nearly two months from now, it seems prudent to simply ease everyone’s minds and select a more appropriate date while also supporting the understandable move to lessen unnecessary travel. In the meantime, we’ll focus on supporting our peers and sharing best practices unique to this situation, such as tips for managing remote workers.”
MSP Educational Event Build IT Rescheduled
The ITBD events team has notified registered attendees and sponsors of the new date and will continue to accept registrations without pause at itbd.net/buildit-2020. Build IT was launched in 2019 as an extension of ITBD’s commitment to knowledge sharing with its partners and other MSPs in order to positively impact the IT channel by opening a positive exchange of ideas between business owners, their peers, and experts in the industry.
Unique in the channel, Build IT provides MSPs the opportunity to learn from true industry educators in a structured format. During the event, attendees participate in focused workshops where speakers share actionable templates and tools that attendees can leverage in their MSP practice as soon as they return to the office.
MSP Event Set To Delivery Even More Education
Building on the success of Build IT 2019, the 2020 conference will include more than 40 breakout sessions, a new three-hour training session with Dr. Larry Little, and specific role-based tracks. Attendees will once again benefit from ITBD’s mantra, “Sharing is Caring,” taking home soft copies of every single tool, template and scorecard discussed during the workshops—which they can deploy immediately when they get back to their offices.
“We’re excited about the event—from keynote Gary Vaynerchuk and guest Matt Higgins to the line-up of channel and business experts we have slated to share real-life sales, marketing, service, and operations templates for our attendees,” said Kam Attwal Kaila, President, IT By Design. “We’ll use these extra few months to add additional topics and experts, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone in Q3.”
